Corn is a known cereal grown in much of the world. Corn is extensively used as human food or animal feed, due to its nutritional qualities.
Corn is a cereal rich in energy, being considered as concentrated 
energy. This is mainly due to the high starch content (*2.*8%) which is a 
polysaccharide digestible in the gastrointestinal tract of animals. The corn starch is rich in 
amylopectin and this fraction easier to digest compared to the fraction of amylose.
